The Rotary Connection
Rotary is one of the largest international service associations with some 29,000 clubs in more than 160 countries. Its members are dedicated to humanitarian service, high ethical standards in promotion of world understanding and peace.
One of the goals of Rotary is to help young people develop their leadership abilities and self-confidence to the fullest.
To accomplish that goal, Rotary clubs prepare thousands of young leaders through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) programs each year. RYLA events are organized by Rotarians who are business and professional achievers.
Rotary clubs also sponsor other, complimentary programs for young people. They include Rotaract (a service club for young adults), Interact (a service club for secondary school students), Youth Exchange (a chance to live and study abroad), and Ambassadorial Scholarships (for university or post-secondary study abroad).
For more information on Rotary and its programs, please visit Rotary online at www.rotary.org.

| "I learned a great deal at the RYLA seminar and had a great time. These leadership skills that we are learning now are essential for us to become successful adults."
"The benefits of the RYLA conference were numerous. My whole outlook on aiming for and attaining leadership positions has changed. I now know the principles of a leader as well as the duties and responsibilities of one. I hope to use what I have learned to help improve my current efforts at school and my future efforts in the community."
